Salish Seaside RV Haven replaced Westbay Village RV Park with an upgraded turf, asphalt roads, and concrete pads. This park is big rig friendly, but you will have to pay attention and have a plan to make the turns with signposts and obstacles too close to the corners. The main building is a little rough looking due to renovations in progress, but if the restrooms and free laundry is any indication, the rest of the park will be very competitive in the future. The lands were leased to Westbay RV Park until 2017. The park was a vision of former Songhees Chief Robert Sam and former Esquimalt Chief Andy Thomas, who worked with Transport Canada to negotiate the purchase of the land in 2005.
